Crochet knotted Headband (Free Pattern!)




Hey Everyone, so I made this headband and it is by far my favorite!! It's super cozy and It's perfect because I'm growing out my pixie cut and it sort of keeps it in place and not so crazy!! Anyways, here you go!!



 
 
Free Pattern: 
 
Materials:
  • 5 mm crochet hook
  • Yarn, medium weight
Headband:

Chain 70, or until it will fit your own head

R1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each chain across (68 dc)

R2-6: Chain 2.  Turn.  Dc in 4th chain from hook and in each chain across (68 dc)

  Fold the crocheted piece in half and sew the edges together. 

Knot:
Chain 10

R1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each chain across (8 dc)

R2-8: Chain 2.  Turn.  Dc in 4th chain from hook and in each chain across (8 dc)

Wrap this crocheted strip around your seam portion of the headband. 
Sew the ends together and hide any loose ends in the knot.

I made this scarf as a gift for my Son's Preschool teacher. She's was trying all year to learn to crochet to make herself one, so I just decided to make her one. I hope she likes it !!

This was the first beanie I ever made! Aww.. lol I made this for my love but he never wore it because he said it's too hot! Hahaha. But it's awesome nonetheless.

I used an (H) Crochet Hook.
Worsted weight yarn
 
 
 
NOTE:
 
 
Hat is worked in continuous rounds. Place marker
for beginning of round.

Crown
ch 4, slip st in first ch to form ring. Place marker for beginning of round.
 
Round 1:
 
Work 6 sc in ring – 6 sts.
 
Round 2:
 
Work 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts.
 
Round 3:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next st] – 18 sts.
 
Round 4:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts] – 24 sts.
 
Round 5:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts] – 30 sts.
 
Round 6:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts] – 36 sts.
 
Round 7:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts] – 42 sts.
 
Round 8:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 6 sts] – 48 sts.
 
Round 9:
 
Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in
same space, dc in next 7 sts, [2 dc in next st, dc in next 7
sts] – 54 sts.
 
Round 10:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts] – 60 sts.
 
Round 11:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 9 sts] – 66 sts.
 
Round 12:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 10 sts] – 72 sts.
 
Round 13:
 
[2 sc in next st, sc in next 11 sts] – 78 sts.
 
Round 14:
 
Ch 3, dc in each st around.
 
Rounds 15-18:
 
Sc in each st around.
 
Rounds 19-28:
 
Repeat Rounds 14-18.
 
Round 29:
 
Hdc in each st around, slip st in first st.
 
Fasten off.
